What is calcium sulfate ?

KOSNATURE manufacture food grade copper sulfate, which having undergone special refinement with extremely high purity and the content of impurities (especially heavy metals such as arsenic and lead) strictly controlled within a safe range. Calcium sulfate for food is often used as a food additive or nutrient fortifier within prescribed ranges and limits, mainly for mineral fortification, such as in infant formula or beverages. Additionally, it serves as a process aid in food processing, for instance in the production of preserved eggs, or as a catalyst in certain foods.

Calcium sulfate solubility

Properties: Blue crystals or granules, or dark blue crystalline powder, with a metallic taste. It slowly decomposes in air. Above 150 degrees Celsius, it forms an easily hygroscopic colorless anhydrous copper sulfate. At 650 degrees Celsius, it decomposes into copper oxide. It is readily soluble in water, presenting an acidic nature, and soluble in dilute ethanol, but insoluble in absolute ethanol.

Conversion:
If the dosage of Copper Sulfate (CuSO₄·5H₂O) is required, it should be calculated based on molecular weight.
The copper content in copper sulfate pentahydrate is approximately 25.5%.
Therefore, if 1 mg of copper needs to be added, about 1 / 0.255 ≈ 3.9 mg of food-grade copper sulfate is required.
